Praying for our Nation

During the next four weeks, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, together with the Roman Catholic Bishops, are calling us to unite in prayer for our nation. Specifically, it has been suggested that as many of us as possible unite wherever we may be at 6pm every day to say the Angelus. This is a form of prayer which Christians traditionally say at 9 am, 12 noon, and 6 pm every day.

You can find out more about this initiative, and some further prayers to help you use this time of prayer, in this short set of resources produced by The Society and the Church Union.

The Angelus is said daily at St Mary’s, and our bell is rung to signal this to the parish. Why not join us?
