Our Sunday School meets in the church vestry during the first part of the service for activities connected with the theme of the Mass, and then return to join the congregation in time for Holy Communion.
We work closely with St Mary’s School, particularly through the weekly Wednesday Mass for KS1 / 2 children. Every year we run classes to prepare children for their first Holy Communion.
For smaller children there is an area at the back of the church with books and quiet toys. Parents remain responsible for supervising their children during the service.
Children of any age are warmly welcome to participate in our worship, and we are particularly keen on older children being altar servers. Full training and robes are given.
